It's the Avon Guy
Hamilton hosts Montreal this week in a big game. Montreal is first place in the division but coming off their first loss and the Ti-cats are heating up, even though they beat the winless Lions, it looks like things are coming together for the black and gold.
Avon Cobourne had his first 100 yard rushing game of the season last week, which is a good sign coming into this game. He played with the Alouttes for five years and needs to have the same type of game to help his team beat their rivals. A quote from the tiger cat website shows that he will have a slight advantage when it comes to playing against his former teammates,
“There are some things that I know that will help me out with the type of blitzes they run,” Cobourne said. “I’ll know when it’s coming.”
So we are all hoping Avon will deliver the right product come game time.
The Ti-cats offence looks good coming into this game but I think the difference maker will be if the defence can stop the league’s most powerful attack in the air from quarterback Calvillo and his lethal weapons of Jamel Richardson and S.J. Green. There is speculation that Calvillo might not
start, but it doesn’t matter who is throwing these guys the ball, they will find a way to bring it in. The DB’s cannot get pushed around and need to make a physical presence. It will show how good or not good the DB’s really are. They were brought in just for this type of scenario.
